Welcome to 2nd Life Wood! I'm Andy Baugus, and I've have been milling and making furniture for over 27 years in the beautiful Northwest Arkansas region. We use sustainable methods to create fine hand-crafted furniture that is beautiful, natural, and one-of-a-kind.
We have many different species of indigenous hardwoods that range from walnut, oak, cherry, maple, elm, box elder, and many more. All of our trees are sourced from salvage piles, were dead standing, or removed from construction. At 2nd Life Wood, we rescue wood and give it a second life as fine pieces of furniture which would have been thrown into a ravine, burned on a brush pile, or cut into fire wood otherwise.
We create custom pieces from the wood as well as made to order pieces from coffee tables to conference tables, dining tables, bar tops, and desks. We also have large wooden slabs for purchase, which are air all dried for three years or longer, and then carefully kiln dried and surfaced to a smooth finish on both sides.
